Before you start, take a complete backup of the site.(Just in case)<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1 – Finding the problem <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Before fixing the problem, we need to know what the problem is. Follow the steps to get the error report.<\/span><\/p>\n

Go to root folder via FTP or Control panel and edit <\/span>configuration.php<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Find <\/span>public $error_reporting = ‘none’; <\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

and change to<\/span> public $error_reporting = maximum’;<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

You will get the error report on the blank page.<\/span><\/p>\n

If that doesn\u2019t work for you,<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Go to<\/span> index.php<\/i><\/b><\/span> and add the following line.<\/span><\/p>\n

ini_set(‘display_errors’,true);<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

error_reporting( E_ALL );<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

You will now have an error report on the blank screen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2 – Finding the solution<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Fix 1 <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Go to<\/span> plugins\/system\/remember\/ <\/i><\/b><\/span>and rename<\/span> remember.php<\/i><\/b><\/span> to _<\/span><\/span>remember.php<\/i><\/b><\/span> and refresh the website.<\/span><\/p>\n

If that didn\u2019t work, upload the previous backup file and refresh again. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fix 2<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Go to <\/span>\/public_html\/plugins\/user\/joomla\/ <\/i><\/b><\/span>and rename<\/span> joomla.php<\/i><\/b><\/span> to <\/span>\u00a0_joomla.php <\/i><\/b><\/span>and refresh.<\/span><\/p>\n

If that too doesn\u2019t work, upload the previous backup file (joomla.php as well) and refresh again.<\/span><\/p>\n

If all these methods failed, try the next one. <\/span><\/p>\n

Go to <\/span>configuration.php<\/i><\/b><\/span> and edit <\/span>public $cache_handler value as empty.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
